Regina Rebels Fall Camp

Hockey Regina Inc. (HRI) and the Regina Rebels Female Midget AAA Hockey Club are pleased to announce the Rebels 2010-11 Fall Evaluation Camp will open on August 26th, 2010 in Regina, SK.

The objective of the Fall Camp is to select the 2010-11 Rebels team, however, it will also be an excellent developmental opportunity for players who expect to challenge for roster spots in future years. Eligibility for the Rebels is open to bantam and midget aged players who are residents of Regina.  In addition, up to five roster positions may be filled by non-Regina imports.

The 2010-11 season will be an exciting one for the Rebels organization as the team will be moving to a new home, the Co-operators Centre at EVRAZ Place, where for the first in franchise history the team will have a permanent dressing room.

The upcoming season will once again see the Rebels play a 28 game Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League (SFMAAAHL) schedule between mid September and the end of February, with playoffs extending into March and early April.  The other seven league teams are: Battlefords Sharks, Melville Prairie Fire, Notre Dame Hounds, Prince Albert A&W Bears, Saskatoon Stars, Swift Current Wildcats, and Weyburn Gold Wings.

The primary focus in Midget AAA hockey is league play, however the team expects to attend two or three tournaments – notably the Notre Dame North American Showcase in Wilcox, SK, the Mac’s Midget AAA Tournament in Calgary, AB, (December 26th to January 1st) if we qualify and/or are invited to each.  The tournaments selected will create opportunities to compete against the best Midget teams in Western Canada and the U.S. as well as provide exposure to both Canadian and U.S. college scouts.

To participate in the camp, please register by downloading the registration form and mailing $95.00 payable to Regina Rebels Fall Camp, c/o Lynn Tulloch, 2411 Klein Place East, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4V 2B6.  Note: Completed registration forms must be received by August 19th, 2010 to guarantee a spot in this camp. The camp has a limited number of spaces so first paid registrations will be given priority.

The complete camp schedule will be posted on this website just prior to the camp opening so please continue checking back for further details. Players will only be guaranteed participation in three sessions, after which releases will begin and continue until the final roster is established in mid September.

If you have any questions regarding this camp or the Rebels program in general please contact Lynn Tulloch, Chair, Rebels Management Council via phone at: 539-5491 or e-mail at: lynn.tulloch@sasktel.net.

HRI and the Rebels are looking forward to the 5th exciting season of Female Midget AAA hockey!

The primary focus in Midget AAA hockey is league play, however the team expects to attend some tournaments - notably the North American AAA Classic in Grand Forks, ND, the Notre Dame North American Showcase in Wilcox, SK, the Mac's Midget AAA Tournament in Calgary, AB, (held from December 26th to 31st) and the Comet Classic in Saskatoon, SK if we qualify and/or are invited to each.  Each of the tournaments selected will create opportunities to compete against the best Midget teams in Western Canada and the US as well as provide exposure to both Canadian CIS and U.S. college scouts.

To participate in the camp, please register by downloading the registration form and send $80.00 payable to Regina Rebels Fall Camp, c/o Lynn Tulloch, 2411 Klein Place East, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4V 2B6. You may also email completed registration forms to lynn.tulloch@sasktel.net.

NOTE: Completed registration forms must be received by August 19th, 2008 to guarantee a spot in this camp.

The complete camp schedule will be posted here in late August so please continue checking back for further details.  Players will only be guaranteed participation in three sessions, after which releases will begin and continue until the final roster is established in mid September.
